There are still chrome bright coho out here to be killed along with the start of hatchery steelhead we are finding sitting behind the coho. Again more steel will show with a decent rise!
Way to go Danny. Gotta love the 6month coho window [thumbsup]

Isnt it bad that the steelhead is holding you out of the water so much. You should be on a level plain with that fish. Im reporting that fish to the WDFW.

Nice fish Danny! I've only done it once but I think catching and releasing a wild steel is the best feeling in all of fishing!

Yes sir! Hatchery fish are alright... but over the last few years i have found fishing for wild steelhead in secluded places and releasing all the big strong healthy fish barely comparable to hatchery fisheries. Nothing like battling an 18 lb wild steelhead and watching him swim away. And each wild steelhead has character. Never look the same and always fight hard. Wish it was march right now actually

Couple of last years wild fish

nothing pisses me off more then the slobs that smoke throwing there cigarette butts in the water ](*,)
Don't take it wrong...not trying to say it is yours, just can't stand seeing cigarette butts in the water or along the rivers edge........pack it in pack it out!!!!!!!!!!

After posting I saw that the pic I was trying to quote did not go to my post. What my post is referring to is the pic of your fish with the cig butt floating in water with your fish.
Again....steelhedder this is not directed at you as I assume that is not your cig...however if it is yours....well you know how I feel.

By the way, I use to smoke and yes I carried every single one of my cig butts out. Hated having a pocket full of filters but never left them behind!!!

Not gunna whine about a butt that may or may not be yours. But compliment your purple tipped blade on your spinner. My cousins on the coast do that all the time.

I do not smoke, I was pissed when I saw it in the picture when I got home. I didnt notice it when I took it cause I was in a hurry to get her on her way, I did land it in a back eddy below a popular area so I guess I should have expected it.. thanks spoonman I just started doing it and it seems to work good, and thanks Fishen you are kilin winterruns up there! I cant seem to find them with much consistency
