I manage the fishing dept at Doug's Boats in Woodinville and we are becoming a certified dealer for them.

i've like the way st. croix rods feel on the wiggle test in store, but truth is if i'm paying over $100 for a rod then its lamiglas. their customer service and being local company is a big part of that.
Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga, except i still get to kill something.

Danny...I have a St Croix Avid...9 foot. Rated 8 to 17 pound test. My king and chum rod. Handles big fish no problem. I love it. I broke the top half a month ago high sticking a 20# king. Totally my fault. Called St Croix and told them what happend. 3 days later for$50 new top half delivered to my door. Top notch customer service IMO..

they severely under rate their rods, I was using a 9'6 6-10 on kings this year and handled them perfectly, not huge ones but a lot 15-25lbs.
