Chapter 60 Event Dates and Meeting Schedule 2012
Hello fellow muskie anglers. The following is a list of our 2012 tournaments.
4/14/12 POR Pike (open)
5/12/12 Silver Lake, Tiger Muskie (open)
5/13/12 POR Pike (open)
6/16/12 Silver Lake, Tiger Muskie (open)
7/21/12 Newman Lake, Tiger Muskie (open)
8/18/12 Newman Lake, Tiger Muskie (members only)
9/14/12 Curlew Lake, Tiger Muskie (members only)
Rules for the tournaments will be posted on our website, and readily available at each tournament.
The board has decided to cut back on the number of General meetings we have throughout the year. We came to this decision, so that we can make the meetings we hold more informative and fun for the general membership. The amount of club business (nuts and bolts) will be handled at special board meetings, while the general meetings will focus on what we all want to do.... learn how to catch more fish and have fun! We will use the general meetings to highlight what the board is working on and draw membership opinions for chapter needs. Board meetings will be announced to the membership as soon as they are planned. As always our board meetings will be open to the membership. These meetings however will not feature the "fun" stuff we all like, but rather the business we need to take care of to effectively run the chapter. The following is a list of our general club meetings as scheduled for 2012:
March 27th, 2012 6:30 pm VFW Post 51 Spokane, WA
May22nd, 2012 6:30 pm VFW Post 51 Spokane, WA
July 24th, 2012 6:30 pm VFW Post 51 Spokane, WA
September 25th, 2012 6:30 pm VFW Post 51 Spokane, WA
November 27th, 2012 6:30 pm VFW Post 51 Spokane, WA
You will notice they are still held on the 4th Tuesday of the month, just alternating months. We also switched to the VFW Post 51 to hold the meetings. The VFW provides us with a friendly quiet atmosphere to hold our meetings. The VFW is located:
Spokane VFW Post 51
300 W. Mission
Spokane, WA 99201-2326
Phone: (509)327-9847
Thank you for your continued support of the Mountain Muskies.

Looks good; Doug, thanks for posting this.
Sounds like a lot of fun.. and in the words of Gil Hamm... keep it simple!
BTW, is Curlew a 2 day: 14th & 15 - Friday/Saturday?

Hey Doug,
Now that schedule is a Sweet Deal, Look forward to possibly making a few of those tournaments and getting to hang out with all of you on the East Side. The first couple tournaments will be a great warmup before heading to Canada with Prince of Pike in June, I will try to open my schedule up for those if I can. BTW I still owe you a Huge Thanks for showing me around Newman and giving me some pointers about Silver back this past fall when I was over in Spokane with my old man and kids. I can't wait to get back over and give both of them a try again, plus I always look forward to fishing with you all on the Pend Oreille and learning new things from your guys local knowledge. My old man wanted me to say Hello and Thanks as well and GO PACK GO!!!
Oh and I also am hoping to get over to Roosevelt while I am in Spokane to go after some Walleye with Sparky, my kids and Dad! If you are up for it, let me know! Give me a call or email me and we can discuss in further detail. Tight Lines!
Nate

Re: Chapter 60 Event Dates and Meeting Schedule 2012
Why would you have a Muskie tournament on the 12 at Silver Lake and a day later have a Pike tourney up on the PO? Seems like poor planning If these were maybe a week apart I could fish them (if I have my boat fixed by then) but back to back would be a no way for me. The wife would kill me to be gone 2 days in a row..

The question is why not. Its a weekend long tounament. One day on one body of water and then the next day a diffrent body of water. Fish n Fool sounds like you have a tight leash LOL....Wheres your sense of adventure and doing something diffrent.
Re: Chapter 60 Event Dates and Meeting Schedule 2012
Heck, you should be able to charge those batteries overnight. Who needs s big motor? Why not pass it off as product testing?

Re: Chapter 60 Event Dates and Meeting Schedule 2012
She is wise to that, when I made the mistake of telling her that my baits are not designed to be a Pike or Muskies bait really and that's why I had to buy all them other big baits. So I get no slack from her if I'm testin other peoples baits.dougw wrote:Why not pass it off as product testing?
Re: Chapter 60 Event Dates and Meeting Schedule 2012
Maybe you need to start designing some muskie baits then!

You REALLY think your wife would be upset if you were gone for 2 days ? Really? LOL
