Forever Fishing Washington State, http://foreverfishing-sparky1doug.blogspot.com/ is a new blog dedicated to stories, reports and reviews from sparky1doug and contributors whom share the passion of fishing. From Tiger Muskies, Northern Pike and Bass to Salmon, Steelhead and Trout to my favorite lures and flies to catch them. See what lures are currently being tested and flies hot off the vise. Feel free to email me about your stories and suggestions. There is a "Fisherman of the Week" and special photos of great places to wet a line. So follow the antics of some avid anglers whom wander the waters of our wonderful state.

My first guest blogger is Fish-n-Fool who tells the tale of "The Lunker of Liberty Lake".

Todd, I do owe you a call, I'll fix that. I've not caught nearly as many Tiger Muskie as you have and I'm by no means an expert but find them to be a great challange. Pike I've done much better on, I had five days on them last year and landed 32 fish. What I truly enjoy is the many interesting lures and technics, the hunting them down on the lake or river. The thrill of the follows, the moment when your knees start shaking as a 40"+ turns to chase your lure. After years of steelheading and stocking salmon I was ready for something different.

Thanks everyone. 80 visits in the first two days from Washington Lakes.com. I'm currently running Fish N Fool's great story. Next Monday a friend from Silverdale catches her first steelhead from the Sol Duc, great picture too. She braved the wind and cold on the 19th to bring in a mint bright hen. Keep those stories and great pictures coming. >:"":>

Hey Doug,

You should at some point in your own words add in the story of our very first trip together out on the Pend Oreille back from last October for the Pike Tournament LOL... I am sure that would be a really good story :-$ Have a good one.

Doug,

That story sure brings back some fond memories, especially about the infamous magic lure trick. I am still amazed how you can make a lure disappear so quickly LOL... Maybe one day I will learn that technique... Oh well, as I said before, things happen and now we can all sit back and laugh about it :) , this makes me want to get in my truck right now and relive that experience all over again, even if I have to watch another magic trick happen. Now if we can get a plan together to make it over to the Pend Oreille again that would be the icing on the cake, sounds like Mark K is onboard, do we have any other members interested in going over? Have we had any luck with finding a place open that we can stay at? Talk with everyone real soon.

Nate

Slough Shark,
Don't forget the first time you went pike fishing in Idaho and you whooped up on me with the fly rod!! Also, there is the Chaos of last year with the 3 of us and the 4 double hookups while I was playing with my boat
](*,)

I am sure there is going to be plenty more memories and stories after this weekend. I heard there is going to be another ship that will rival the USS Pend Orielle.....USS Pike Baron? :-"

Sure, kick a guy when he is down! I won't be making the tournament. I will be getting back into Spokane, at 7pm that night. If it was earlier, I would for sure be making an appearance with te USS Pend Oreille!

Hey Doug and Everyone,

You will be missed at the Tournament, but Sparky and I will certainly try to make up for the USS Pend Oreille as best as possible. Of course nothing compares to a classic! :salut: Look forward to getting another chance to fish along side you in the future. Have a safe trip back and if you are available on Sunday let Sparky and I know, we might be able to pull off a day of fishing with you then if you have time.
