The tiger presentation went as planned. Chris was very surprised. Chris also got a plaque from MI for the longest Hybrid release of 2011. Congratulations Chris Gades!!! I will post pictures as soon as I get them.
Re: Chapter 60 Mountain Muskies Meeting
Awesome Doug... I'm glad your meeting went well over there in Spokane... I can not wait to see the pictures of the LAX Replica of the Lake Curlew "Tiger" Chris had caught last September... I bet he was surprised to see that fish once again!
"C-P-R"... Catch, Photo, Release, and then get a life-like LAX Replica of that awesome fish... This works, time and time again... Way to go Chapter 60 Mountain Muskies! Very well done. Thanks, Mr. Rick Lax-Taxidermist of Conover WI also... Rick, is a long-time Muskies, Inc. supporter, and friend, who also helped in making this presentation happen for the Washington State Chapters of Muskies, Inc... This is greatly appreciated by us all.
*The Muskies, Inc. "Longest-Hybrid Release" of 2011 plaque must also have been "icing on the cake" for Chris... Congrats, on that award also... That award is very impressive in itself... Especially, when you are competing with a Nation of dedicated hard-core muskie enthusiasts... Go Tigers, go Washington State!
Way to go Chris! I can still remember that day in September, your awesome fish, and your demolished fishing net at the end of that battle!... Good times and good memories my friends... Let's see if there is another one waiting out there for us... what do you say;)

Re: Chapter 60 Mountain Muskies Meeting
Okay, I promised a picture of the presentation. Finally it is here. We did our regular "Round Robin" fishing report for the chapter meeting. We started around the table, and Chuck's report, was that we went fishing on Silver Lake. We didn't see much, but he would let me report what had been caught.
So, the table gets around to me and I reported catching a nice tiger on Silver. Little to everyone's knowledge Chuck and I were pulling a fast one. A few short weeks previously, I had contacted Rick Lax, of Lax reproductions http://www.laxreproduction.com/and asked if he could ship Chris's fish to me. We wanted to present it at the meeting. I asked Rick to push Chris off a few months, if he happened to call to ask about progress.
So back to Silver, we staged this photo to show everyone.
We asked everyone to look at the photo and guess the size. There were a lot of guesses, and when it got around to Chris, he said "46"? Hard to hold the laughter at this point.....
Chuck says, "I think we can prove how big this fish is..... " He walks over to where we had hid the monstrous fish mount and pulls it out. As he is walking over, Chris still didn't get that it was HIS fish!!! We then presented it to him, much to his amazement. What a special moment. Events could not have unfolded any better. From the timing of me contacting Lax, to Rick and Shannon's cooperation, to the few members that knew about what was happening keeping the secret.... Thank you so much Rick and Shannon for playing along with us, and for the gracious support in providing a Wold Class reproduction for Chris. Without your support, none of this would have happened. Enough of the story, here is the photo for you all to enjoy.
