Pastika's Tackle Shop foreclosed

Post by muskyhunter » Wed Apr 18, 2012 4:21 pm

I know that alot of you musky folks may or may not know of this shop. But its been in musky country in Hayward,Wi for ever and a day. When I was young my family would vacation in/ around Hayward. We'd stop there and at the Fishing Hall of Fame. Pastikas' is now closed. Foreclosure got the best of them. A few of you folks going to and fro Wisconsin are gonna miss an old friend of musky fishermen everywhere..Heres a link..

Just wanted to share is all.
See ya, Todd

Now that is a sad thing for any avid Musky Angler whether from the Hayward Area or not. I can remember as a kid going into Pastikas just to get my Musky Lure fix. My Grandfather used to always give me a hard time whenever we went into town and stopped by Pastikas. He used to tell me that if I walk in, I will walk out with the entire store. I only wished, but what a bummer to hear that Pastikas is having to leave town due to foreclosure! That has always been a staple for the Hayward area other than Hayward Bait and Tackle. Well if I know anything about the Hayward area and the anglers of that amazing area they will carry on and continue to thrive. I am going to have to tell my cousin this, she is going to be really bummed. That was her favorite store growing up, who knows maybe one day Her and I will have our own tackle store along with our own Fishing Resort in Hayward and we can keep the traditions of Musky, Northern Pike and Walleye Fishing alive and well. I guess only retirement and time will tell, at this point the best way I can think of making up for this news of Pastikas is to continue the passions of Musky, Northern, and Walleye fishing! Tight lines all

Nate,
Good luck with your endeavor of getting a bait shop. Folks might just have to take the 2 hr drive to Minocqua. Help support the Musky Shop instead. That place is busy as heck. All the time. Making my pilgrimage to Wisconsin and the run to Minocqua in June. Later
