Kokanee in Curlew Lake

Post by ridgeratt » Wed May 21, 2014 8:18 pm

I saw a photo of a young lady who says she hauled out a 22 inch Kokanee out of Curlew. I have scoured the possiable places and I can't find any proof.

Anyone got anything?

I would say it was a trout. Never seen or heard of Kokanee in Curlew fishing it every summer for 20 years.
Trout and Kokanee can look similar but Kokanee have a forked tail and the trout usually have spots on the fins.

Unless someone bucketed some in.

I went back and checked the photo she did have a Trout and not a Koke!! But it did get my old heart a shade faster in the pulse.
