A couple of my unexpierenced buddys went fishing at coulon park. They caught a few perch and they were all 8" and larger, all they used was worm. There are a whole bunch of species in lake WA, I haven't heard of rock bass but they are probably in there. In the field and stream magazine, they had an article on lake WA last year and it said that there were over 100 species in the lake

yup there are rock bass in lk wa and union. havnt tried for panfish yet this yr.

The perch are definetely there, I keep on running into them when I bass fish.

i've only caught 1 rockbass in lk washington...and i fish it almost every week in the summer...

Are rockbass good to eat? We use to catch rather large ones back in Michigan.

yup good to eat.
I went out last night and tried out my submersible light from the arboretum dock for a few hours after dark. It brought some baitfish and I saw a few bluegill darting around but I couldnt get them to bite any of my fake berkley gulp baits. Man I hate this stuff, im seriously about to chuck it.

I don't remember what issue it was. I still have the mag. laying around somewhere. But it was pretty cool because it had the top 5 fishing states in the country and washington came in at #5. They said it got #5 because of the ocean, lake Washington and the Yakima river and how close they were together(its not that close though). I saved the magazine to frame it for my fishing room. But it didn't list all the species in fact I think they only talked about bass.
