Steel lake doesn't open until the end of the month...

I stopped by Fenwick twice this week. I didn't get a bite and didn't see anyone else doing very well either. There were fish rolling but not taking my offerings.

Star lake was pretty good a couple weeks back. Angle is usually good for a fish or two.

Just looked at the planting report. Yep, it looks like the hot streak was because of a recent planting. Wow, about 14K already for Lake Meridian. Very nice.

I got skunked at 5 Mile Tuesday afternoon, went Wednesday morning about 9am and limited out by 1pm. Took my son on Thursday morning and he outfished me 4 to 1 (but I let him have the honey hole all to himself hehe). 5 Mile seems to be on or off. It was stocked 3 weeks or so ago, and a lot of that plant is caught. We pulled in 10 over 2 days for a nice trout dinner last night.
