You may end up saving theirs or an innocent bystanders life. Since they are young and new to driving adding alcohol only makes this situation more dangerous. Booze and the operation of anything motorized is bad news but with kids makes the statistics much worse.
I bet you see proof of this first hand all the time when you are at work:-"
Sad but true. I try not play to much "Safety Susan" but you see a ton of bad stuff and the over whelming majority of the calls I deal with could have been easily avoided. You should see the human body after its been turned into a missile, thrown through a windshield. May sound gross and I'll probably get a PM or 2 about being inappropriate. But its a cold hard fact.

Sometimes I wish the media would be allowed to show what really happens with these type of accidents. Then people would really get it. No more sugar coating.

I know first hand what kevinb is saying. For the last ten years I've been dealing with a disabled shoulder and nerve damage in my left shoulder and neck thanks to an old guy with a few drinks under his belt crossing the centerline.

Sorry to hear about Storm Lake. I wonder if that was the group I kicked off my place? My neighbors kid (Sam) is 17 now and I've been going nuts trying to figure out who was knocking down my gate and tearing up my grass along my road. Friday I saw 2 4x4 rigs parked on my property that goes down to the lake. They drove almost to the lake and stopped and backed up. It gets all wet and swampy farther down, so if they had driven all the way down they would have made a mess. I walked down there and found a group of teens on my neighbors new party boat.

That was about 5pm, so you might have heard me bitching them out. There were plenty of beer cans and garbage all over the shoreline. I saw the neighbor kid and told him I didn't want anymore rigs driving on my property or parking at the gate. I was fuming!

Drove down to Monroe and came back about 7pm and there were 3 new rigs parked on my lawn and one at my gate. Oh man talk about ready to go ballistic. I saw 2 young guys trying to hide behind their rig at the gate and told them to get the hell off my property. They said Sam told them it was ok to park there and walk down. I heard them say they were going over to the boat launch. Must have been the same group. They left a bunch of garbage on my property.

With the hot weather coming up this weekend, you can bet they'll be out trying to party. Call the Sheriff if you see it get out of hand. I'll be locking my gate from now on.
