I am trying to do some fishing on Long Lake / Lake Spokane but can't seem to find access. From what I can find on the internet, the old Nine Mile resort is listed as open on April 15th as part of Riverside State park. Also the launch at the Spokane House area is the same I believe. And, the DNR launch farther west on the lake also says opens on April 15th. Am I correct on all of these or am I reading things wrong????? I want to fish there befpre April 15th.
Can someone HELP!!!! I have the discovery pass and am prepared to pay launch fees. I just need to know where to get in the water.
Thanks for the help.

Don't you just love a year-round lake with seasonal launches?

The spokane house launch is open year round, at least it was when I used to waterfowl hunt there a couple years back. Give the ranger station a call and see if anything has changed. I'm not sure what's going on with the dnr launch anymore because they seem to have a problem finding hosts to run the place.

Tum Tum is a private launch. I thought I heard a rumor that Nine Mile was being sold to the state, must of happened. That launch was the only early season launch on the whole lake. I have not fished Long in a couple of years, really miss the fishing on that thing, gonna have to get back over there this year though. AJ, let us know what you found out please.

You can give Willow Bay Resort a call to see if their launch is open and if they will let you use it. It is just east of Tum Tum on the north side of the lake/river.

Nine mile has been sold to the state and I found it listed on the internet as part of Riverside State Park, opening on April 15th. The DNR site also soad opens April 15th as well. The sign at Willow Bay says "No public access. Members only" I did hear from someone else that the spokane house launch was open a couple of weeks ago. I may try that one.
Juggalo, thanks for the offer but for now the plan is to get out there on saturday. I contatced a friend that has access to a launch at Suncrest and he's planning to fish with us so we can gt in the water at his launch. Thanks everyone for the input. I guess after the 15th it won't be a [problem right???

A friend and fellow washington laker stopped by for me and checked the launch at the spokane House. He said it is open and usable.

The Spokane House launch can be a problem....... warning, warning.
First, if the water is not clear, you cannot see the shallow flats that can get you stuck. Helped a guy and his kid in his bass boat for a couple of hours trying to pull it off the flats. Not so much fun. With the heavy flows in this area, you can get in trouble in a hurry.
Next, seems like people like to break into vehicles in this area. I took a game camera and hung it in a tree overlooking my truck one time. I left the truck with nothing in it visible or valuable. When I got back a window was broken and the game camera showed two kids. I gave the video to the Sharif's department and they hardly cared.
Just saying........
Nine mile is secure, the DNR launch often does not open until Memorial Day, and one year not at all.
