Spokane County lakes?

Post by noneel » Fri Jul 10, 2015 9:13 am

I am on my way out of the state and wanted to hit the lakes one last time. Not seeing a lot of reports on eastern wa lakes so has the heat put a stop to fishing out here?

One lake that really turns on during hot weather is Downs lake, I just saw a picture of about 50 of so large perch somebody caught yesterday(Sunday). The bass fishing will slow down a bit but the perch and crappie will just continue getting better until the end of the season.

Sacheen Lake, How do you fish this lake, I went out this morning , water is 71 degrees had a couple good hits but did not hook any. Anyone have any tricks? Has the hot weather slowed the Trout fishing in Eastern Washington lakes.

Downs looks like it is almost completely covered with weeds on Satellite pictures, is that the case and if so how do you fish it?

Depends on when you are coming and what you want to catch but there are several great lakes around here. I mostly fish for bass and one of the best is Badger Lake (even though they are planning to kill it off this fall and make it trout only.) My other favorites for summer are Liberty and Silver Lake, which are both great for bass and crappie.

Downs is a good one but very shallow as you can see in these map pics.
