Anderson Lake So Toxic It Could Kill....

Post by fishnislife » Sun Jun 10, 2007 8:21 pm

With the toxicity level at 250x the level of lasts years closure of this lake, officials have closed the lake once again. Ranked right up there with the best trout fisheries in the state, Anderson Lake has once again been closed due to killer levels of algae. Just drinking the water would kill a person. It is unknown at this time what the levels of sludge will do to the inhabitants of this lake. When algae gets this bad oxygen levels drop and the entire lake can become a thick goo. Fish struggle to breath and other wildlife can die due to the toxic level of the water they drink or come in contact with. This is a real downer for those planning camping, swimming and fishing trips to Anderson this year. The lake will be closed indefinitely, at least until the algae levels return to a safe level.
