Hot Cheesy Salmon Dip

Post by Hunter757 » Fri May 30, 2014 8:39 pm

Here is a dip I have found and love, I have used low fat cream cheese no issues. I use Tabasco hot sauce tried sacracha hot sauce and not for me with this dip. I have used smoked kokanee and oven cooked with dill and lemon seasoning then cool and use in the dip. Enjoy!!

Hot Cheesy Salmon Dip
Serves: Makes 3 cups
Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3 green onions, sliced thin
2 cups (about 12 oz) flaked/shredded cooked salmon meat
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese
sliced baguette
Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
With a mixer, beat cream cheese and mayonnaise together until smooth, light and fluffy. Stir in lemon juice, pepper sauce and green onions; fold in salmon meat. Spread in a 1-1/2 quart baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake for 20 minutes until top is golden and bubbly. Serve with sliced baguette.

It is, even better the next day right out of the fridge cold. You can't beat it and a nice change up and another way to eat and use up the left overs of some great tasting fish.

Everything but the 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce sounds great!

I make something very similar, but have never baked it, just served cold, but I bet this is very yummy, might have to try it very soon as I have all the ingredients handy
