One advantage to the dry east side of the state, very little bugs.
I dont know about that  When I was over there a couple months ago, I got brutalized by the misquitos #-o :-({|=
That depends on the area. Spokane in general, very few mosquitos. In the rural areas around lakes, yes there will be some and in the woods, lots of gnats. Still, nothing like Minnesota or Wisconsin.
The skeeters were really bad this year, especially spring. Being as I'm at quite a bit of houses a day, they were all over. My place was really bad. Finally sprayed for them and they disappeared(despite everyone's opinions on sprays). But yes, the M states are pretty bad, not to mention alaska. We still have fruit flies, probably the garden tomatoes. We've scratched our heads looking for those little bastard's sources in the past and have found nothing.

I love this cooler weather now.No bugs in my place anymore.Nothing is worse then serving a meal with fruit flies.I ll take these cooler mornings anytime.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

i didnt read all the posts but what i did recently was fill a plate with honey or vinegar it attracts them.. then i used a vaccum to suck them all up when they were around it do that 2-3 times a day and all the bugs were gone. it worked for me!!
Today she met me at the door, said I would have to choose, if I picked up that fishing rod today, she'd be packing all her things and she'd be gone by noon....well I'm gonna miss her when I get home
