I just went to count my pellets. I bought some at Maclendons for 14.00 a bag and thought that was decent. Now this is even better. I stacked them in my basement on a pallet board.

I have a lil tex I bought in 2005. I used it on Monday smoking trout and the collar and belly meat from that King I caught.

Toni when you smoke fish Do you vent the smoker to keep it cooler? My smoker setting runs at 160 175 degrees. It seems a lil bit warm to smoke. Also do you smoke closet to the hopper or burner side?

I use the grill just the way it I got it. I put it on smoke. It doesn't have a digital thermometer nor do I put one in. I know that in the summer it takes less time to smoke the fish.
It does seem that the items cooked toward the grease drain is hotter. I just put thicker items there.

Treager nation, I have a lil tex deluxe ( all the stainless) now this is gonna hurt but I got mine on the employee price plan. $800.00 unit for $300.00 Thats the only way I could get one, to spendy. I have replaced three hot rod and as many fuses. We use ours nightly even if to smoke for 30 minutes then Finnish on the grill. We have narrowed it down it 4 pellet choices. I'm working on a cold box for mine. If it's sucsesful I will let you know , and see about making for wa lakes people.
