Now THAT is an awesome post. btw, I have always caught and looked at those pesky perch and said, "What's all the fuss about? Seems like too little fish, too much work in the kitchen" Never again will I say that.

I have never done that before to a panfish. I have never caught a fish the size he had either. Thanks.

pat them dry, dust them in a bag full of flour/garlic salt, dip in milk and egg mixture, throw them in a bag of fine crushed saltines and let them sit in the fridge 1/2 hour, then put them in a pan of oil our bake in an oven.

yep!! it is alot easier when pan fish are big. you tend to master filleting when you've done hundred's of small ones. (new meaning to FISH CHIPS)#-o

Ohh Yaa! Looks good. Or should I say looked good. The look on your dogs faces, "please just one bite mom."
Great post man.

To mix it up a bit for you chefs, instead of bread crumbs or saltines like panfisher did, try using Tim's Cascades Jalapeno Chips crushed up. Makes for a nice spicy batter. :chef:
