South Sound (11) Fishery

Post by Dustin07 » Sat Aug 10, 2013 6:23 pm

I'm getting my clock cleaned down here. I can't tell if I'm in the wrong place, the wrong time, or what. I feel like I'm throwing everything at these darn fish and coming up empty. The last few weekends I put in LONG (12hr) days, starting long before daybreak, working tide changes, watching sunrise, sunset, moonrise, tides, etc.

But to be honest, i'm not even seeing anyone else catch!

Today I set a new record. 9 sharks boated. I've got that dialed in :nemo:

I've been working Owens, Slag, Sealth, the points, Dash, Brown, Robinson, Redondo, etc. Funny thing is, I work this area because its the most convenient for me boat ramp wise, but I think if I just drove north I'd catch more in less time...(and $$)

You're not alone at all. We had the same frustrating luck this afternoon ](*,) Hoping they show up soon!
The fish that got away, gains at least 2 lbs a day. It's science.

Are you fishing for kings? Jigging? Trolling? Mooching?

yes sir, trolling for kings.

This weekend will probably not be though. I'm going out tomorrow in area 10, then friday-sunday I think the wife and I are just going to go south sound island hoping and as meek as area 11 has been, I dont think I want to bother pulling the rods out south of the Narrows.
