Kid friendly Westport outing this Sunday?

Post by mizm05 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 1:47 pm

I'm in shock...in a good way, but still in shock. I have a 12 year old son who has been fighting me tooth and nail on fishing. He swears he doesn't like it, but every time he's gone, he's had fun and I have pictures to prove he was smiling! LOL

Anyways, he says he will go to Westport with me this Sunday, 4/27. I don't plan on jetty fishing with him and our dog with me. We'll stop by the marina, drop a couple crab traps, then go fish the shoreline for surf perch.

Anyone else with kids want to join us? I don't expect my son to fish much. He'll probably spend more time running around on the beach with the dog. I'm going to get a kite for him as well. And all of this depends on weather obviously. I thought it would be nice for him to be around other kids so he has someone else his age to fart around with. Maybe if the other kid is actually into fishing, it will be added incentive for my boy to spend a bit more time doing it. And if they get bored, they can run around the beach together.

The more the merrier. Let me know who might be up for it.

And anyone is welcome to join, even if you don't have a kid coming with you. By all means...
