Charging up glow lures
I have always used an old 35MM camera flash to light up glow lures. I don't use it in bright sun but I think it helps in the morning or on dark days. But my last camera flash died. I used to buy old used ones for 10 bucks apiece but they are impossible to find now plus they don't last very long. So I bought a Rapala unit from Amazon. I haven't use it on the water but it sure lights up a squid in a dark room.
If you want to try one just go to Amazon.

Is it big enough to put an 11 inch flasher in it?

Another option is goodwill. Just be sure to check it works as they likely don't test them.

Hooked on toys sells an ultra violet black light that takes 4 AA batteries and is about 12" long and fits perfectly in my flasher box~ so I put what is going to be my first choice when I hit the water along with whatever glow lure I am using and give it a good charge before putting it on and works great! Not that I catch a lot of fish but at least gives them a good long glow! haha!

I picked up a mini UV Flashlight (similar to this) a few years ago to test jig colors under UV. It works just as well to charge glow-stuff.

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker
