Mouth of the Nisqually?
Anyone tried fishing the mouth of the Nisqually. Tried a couple times with zero takes downs not even a flounder. Trolled herring, spoons nothing. Did mark some fish but the only thing I saw with a salmon was a couple of seals. Worked from 25 to 85 ft deep on the rigger fishing all the way up to ketron. Any ideas would help.

I launched 8/2- tide was coming in, man, it is very, very shallow. I wasn't fishing this trip out, but the crabbing sure looks good in this area. Let me know how you do if you go out this weekend. My buddy fished Nisqually handicap area on monday evening and had zero luck. WE NEED RAIN!!

No luck again this trip quite the opposite actually. Lines in at 0445 trolled until 1315. Coming in at dead low was interesting. Motor died on me and I ended up pulling the boat from the edge of the flats to launch. WDFW was out there and they gave a guy next to me a ticket for having a treble on jigging the mouth. Losing faith. THink I will stick to the rivers or go back to hoodsport and try again for humpies.

I fished Chambers yesterday. About a dozen boats were there too. Didn't see any fish caught. Give it a week.

Did you ever think that there just isn't any fish around yet...I was up around the Bush pt area and the humps were thick.....They are coming....hang in there....We saw hundreds of blips on the finder... When they show up so will the fisherman, watch for them. Good luck, Steve
Fly Fishing is the art of attaching a fake bug to a line and relying on the appropriate manipulation of the rod to deceive the fish into eating a sharp steel hook covered with feathers and fur.
