What fish to target

Kind of a newb question here.

I live off Greenwood close to Carkeek, so not far from Shilshole Marina. No boat (yet). Now that most of the coho are in the rivers, anything worth targeting in the saltwater. I limited to the beaches and the piers.

Thanks in advance.

Not a whole lot to chose from this time of year if your fishing from shore in the Shilshole area. Crabbing won't open this winter in area 10 so the pickins' are slim. Sanddab/flounder would be your most plentiful targets and you can also give it a go for catch and release cutthroat trout fishing along the points north of Shilshole. Area 10 is open for blackmouth and they can be caught from shore and piers, but it isn't something that I would call a productive method. You could also give squidding a shot, which is done in the evenings off the piers in Seattle and Edmonds.

I've caught cutthroat throwing spinners at Carkeek, if you hurry there might even be a chum or two out there getting ready to hit the creek.
