Area 10: Jeff Head or Richmond Beach

Post by kodacachers » Thu Aug 08, 2013 12:11 pm

Hi guys,
I'm fishing tomorrow and trying to decide between Jeff Head and Richmond beach. Targeting Chinook until i get my one and pinks after that. Most of the fishing reports are bank anglers--any of you know what's been producing better this week?
Thanks!!

Jeff head....... So much more water to cover..... Just get out before the sun comes up no matter where you fish...

Late but my dad's out at Jeff Head right now with his coworker, he bonked one king then lost another right after that during the morning tide change. They're waiting for the tide switch again for the afternoon. I'll be heading out there tomorrow in the morn once I head back over there this afternoon.

Regarding the sun comes up thing, I don't think that matters. It's just a matter of getting your fishing pole in the water during the tide changes.

It was really foggy so we went with the Richmond beach side of the pond. Skunked! Oh well. I'll post a full report.

Yeah the fog can suck out there, a few weeks ago we were out at Jeff Head and our GPS wasn't working on our fishfinder, kept getting lost of where we were exactly lol, so it kind of kept us off of where we usually fish part of the time that morning.

I get 90% of my fish before the first full hour of sunlight, sometimes even before the sun even peeks out..... Tides do matter also but for me, I choose to start fishing before sun up

WOW..... That is a scary thought...... I've seen some ugly one's but you in a bikini would scare the fish and anyone else looking....
