Can anybody recommend a good dehydrator? I saw a discussion of making salmon jerky with a dehydrator and I think I'd like to try one. My wife is bugging me about what do I want for Christmas.

Thanks
Gary

I use a Ronco. It was about $40 bucks. Cabelas has some nice looking ones. But my cheap one does the job.

My wife wanted one so I bought her a cheap small one and it works but it was to small. I ended up buying a couple of these (Excalibur Food Dehydrator) and they work great. It really some down to how much dehydrating you are going to do and how much money you want to invest. BTW, we made a ton of jerky last winter and everyone loved it.

This is what I have and it works great! I've really been happy with it. I do all sorts of fruits, veggies and jerky. And the price isn't bad either.
