I would soooo love to do this...

Do you think my Fiance would mind if I skipped out wedding that day to go fishing in a derby? ... well she might mind a bit

Move the wedding to the shores of Puget Sound ( or even in the boat) then at the weigh in you can have the reception and the bride can throw a salmon instead of the bouquet. Then honeymoon on the new boat you will win. :compress:

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

If we get the bigger boat were looking at, we'll be there for sure.

My fiance (and partially me) is geeking about trying to find a cool way to have our wedding/reception on a boat, or atleast boat/fishing related. We've tossed lots of ideas and the leading one is...

A beach wedding and after the reception we hop in the boat (just the 2 of us), drop the lures in the water and troll off into the sunset.

You aren't supposed to see the bride until she walks down the isle, right... Grab the groomsmen and make a run at 1st light, as long as you are standing there when she starts walking you are in the clear. If someone comments about the fishy smell coming from you, chalk it up to "nerves"

Congratulations by the way!

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Good idea, would get us our 15 min of fame. The other idea $$$$$$ was to do it on one of the Tall Ships, The Lady Washington (was in the last Pirates movie) is the one we wanted to do it on but the rental cost and logistics are mind boggeling.
