Shore fishing for kings. Possible? If so what should I use? # line, leader length, Lure type and size etc.? Thanks.

Worth your time? Probably not.
Only option I would consider is Edmonds Pier..
Shore fishing for Coho is a much better option if you want salmon off the shore, as are pinks when they are running.

I think area nine opens on the 16th. Point no Point is a great place for casting off shore. I took my kids there last year for silvers and watched a guy land a 25lb plus next to us off a white and blue buzz bomb.

Not sure where Saratoga is but like stated above Point No Point is a good spot, get there really early for the good bite so you can get to the point where the fish seems to hang off of. Another spot kind of by there to look at might be the Kingston Ferry Dock, baitfish go in there and the salmon go after them around that area.

Saratoga area is East Whidbey north of Langley across from Camano. But I was wondering about Bush Point or South Whidbey State Park for Kings. What about lures etc.?
