South Sound rod guide repair?
Anybody know of anyone who does a good job of replacing guides on lamiglas rods. I have a 9' 15-30lb line weight Certified Pro that needs the bottom guide replaced. The ceramic in the guide cracked and i would like it replaced asap as this is my jigging rod for Salmon.

I'd be willing to bet these guys could fix you up. Fedex it to them and take a nice drive and pick it up.

I just talked to Don yesterday. I have 2 rods that I am going to have him work on. He works, so rods are part time. His shop is in North Tacoma.

Lincs Takle and Honda in Seattle. Ask for Maria. She has rebuilt many of my rods. They are on Rainier Ave. So and south Main St. Tell them Ralph recomended you to them. I work 2 blocks away from them. They also have great froz herring and lot of crawlers. They are my Mecca for fishing gear.

Don has rod building classes. You might take a class or two and find out how easy it is to fix your own rods. I took a series of classes up in Everett and really enjoyed myself along with learning to build $500.00 rods for less than $200.00. You might ask Don when you contact him. Good luck...Steve
