Pole Halves
I was going through my gear the other night and came across 8 pole halves. Mostly bottom halves. I had a few top halves too.Its amazing the fishing stuff I have. I still have reels galore that I save for parts which is so stupid too being that reels have changed so much through the years.I think its time to haul this all to the Goodwill. It was just amazing what kind of gear I have in my sport room. At first I just stared at it all thinking wow.I even found 2 old Pearl Wobblers.Plus a couple huge flatfish for Chinook fishing.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

If I took all of the antique lures and gear out of my boxes I'd have half the lures I have now.
But then again, as an antique myself, it seems fitting that I use antique gear at times.

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

That reminds me of my doctors office. On his wall he has an old Fenwick Salmon rod with a Penn 209 on it. He shows it like its an antique. I laugh everytime I go in there because its my salmon outfit I still use. Hehehe.
