Knots for Florocarbon
I have been having trouble with breaking off my 10# test florocarbon leaders. What are the best knots to use for this line, and how do you keep then strong. Thanks in advance.

I use the "J knot":

I also try to have similar line diameters between the braid and leader line I'm using.

Flouro is notorious for being sticky. Make sure whatever knot you use gets well lubricated, because the abrasion factor will half the knots strength if you're not careful.

Amen to that! Because of that, you have to snugs things up really slow and use water, soap, spit, etc. I stopped using it for tying egg loops, too much of a PIA.natetreat wrote:Flouro is notorious for being sticky.
