Bank Fishing Camping - Western Wash?

Post by SeaBass666 » Sat Jul 14, 2012 5:45 pm

Hello, take the two kiddos for a couple days of camping & fishing in a couple weeks. Within a 2 or 3 hour drive from the Seattle area, whats a good tent campground near or at a lake with bank fishing? Alder lake seems to be a very good choice. Any kind of fishing is fine (trout, pan fish, etc). Thanks

Lake Crescent on the north border of Olympic National Park (near Port Angeles) is quite amazing and there is a nice campground with spots along the beach. There are 2 species of trout (Crescenti and Beardslee) in that lake that are found nowhere else on earth. It is all catch and release, but there is a neighboring lake that you can keep fish if you want.
