Separating Fishing Reports by Species

Post by AaronE » Mon May 04, 2009 9:31 am

Hey Aaron,

Have there been any requests or consideration around fishing reports being species-specific?

For example -

On the Recent Reports page there are several new reports showing up daily due to the season just opening. The vast majority of those are obviously trout reports. Rather than clicking and going through every report to see if any are, say, bass reports, how difficult would it be to come up with a system designating a report by targeted species?

I am with you on that as well AaronE. Something as small as like the flag that is listed for Fresh, River, Salt, etc would be a great benefit so that I can scroll quickly until I find the species I am looking for. Maybe letter designations T - Trout, B - Bass, S - Salmon, C - Crappie, P - Perch, Etc.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

I like this idea Aaron,..I also have 2 click every report looking for an update on the Bass,..you can't tell just from someones screename what they are fishing for,..even the obvious screenames can fool you,..thus I'm a clickin fool looking for the Bass reports,..HaHa,..great question for the Tech-Support though!

I wouldn't mind so much but I've worn out my mouse twice at work looking for bass reports and the IT dept said they're gonna start charging me for replacements LOL

Yeah right!...like waxing, cleaning, inspecting every square inch of her, talkin' to it about all the places she's going to take you, researching new items to adorn her with etc, etc!! (I'm just pokin' fun!) :bounce:

Good idea Aaron E- no offense to Trout fisherman, but it gets annoying clicking threw every fishing report on lakes in my area and 99% of posts are about Trout! I'm looking for Bass, Crappie, Walleye, Bluegill, etc..reports

That would be a good idea to seperate the reports some how like that..

 I'm glad something like this is in the works. It will make searching reports a lot easier.
I too, have searched endlessly through reports only to take away a good read. Never really finding what I'm after. I have actually found myself not clicking each report and only searching and reading reports of anglers I know.
