Woke up to 4" Thursday morning...

Image

Still have a couple inches on the ground, snowed on and off most the afternoon and has been snowing steady the past 2 hours.

We still went to Roosevelt and filled the cooler with limits of heavy rainbows Sat/Sun. Was a great weekend, no snow, no real cold temps, and hot fishing. [cool]

Gonna bust out the sleds and pull my son around in a few.

Left Burlington this morning to light snow. Got to Everett and the roads were pure ice and saw dozens of wrecks on the way into Seattle. The pass going east on I-90 was snowing hard with several wrecks and slow downs. Coming out of Cle Elum the wind was blowing hard with snow. Decided to hunker down for the evening in Ellensburg because of blizzard warnings from Ellensberg to Spokane. We'll finish out the trip in the morning with full daylight. Not a night to be on the highway.[thumbdn]

A pretty day here in the Puyallup valley,so as long as you block out the random images of spun out cars on the side
of the street. A fun day with the family, just out and about in our neighborhood pulling my son in the tobogon(spelling?)
From the back balcony I can see a stretch of highway 512 and those folks are miserable, they'd be lucky if they were going 10mph. I love the snow,I'm certainly not an expert on snow driving but does it seem like "EVERYONE ELSE" freaks out a bit to much? and why are all the local channels acting like its an epic event and we'll be lucky to survive it?
KIRO and KING tv have to keep plugging it,as if I'm going to end up in a shootout with my neighbor for his can of chili:clown:
OH MY GOD! ITS A NUCLEAR WINTER!!!!:^o

Glad to hear you hunkered down in Ellensburg Marc. It is really a nasty, windy night out across the Basin with lots of drifting snow. Post when you get home so we know you made it ok.

We're not the only ones. We are at the Holiday Inn Express and by 9pm the regular rooms were filled and they were offering suites at a regular room price. I think they are filled. Very unusual for this time of year.

Ok, I'll bite: Here was my house this morning! I could leave if I wanted to, but I honestly have no reason to go out and drive around with the idiots..... so, as of now, my truck remains under a half foot of snow! :thumright

Yup, made it back without any problems. Between Vantage and Mose Lake the wind was from the north about 40 mph and sometimes white out conditions with the blowing snow. Reminded me of getting caught in a blizzard in northern Minn. and N. Dakota. Saw several people in the ditch along that stretch. It looked like they were trying to drive through drifts on the north side of the road and when they hit that concrete hard compacted snow it flipped them around. Hopefully we are going to get back into the normal N.W. winter now. Right now it is 0º and a wind chill of -13º. It is suppose to get down to about -12º tonight. That's not including the wind chill.:shaking:
