Questions for those using Xfinity Mobile shared data plan...

Thinking about switching our 4 lines to XM since our data usage is low for 2 users (<1GB/month per person) and data usage is higher for 2 users (3-5GB/month per person) so it can benefit from the shared data buckets.

As I understand how it works, right before the billing period ends, you can check the usage data and then buy a higher data bucket or move one line to unlimited to control the costs. Is that really how it works in reality or is there something else to be aware of?
