The best way to prepair a red rock crab is to put it back in the water and go catch some dungies
Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

When youre only getting alot of small dungies ,the Red Rocks get even more tempting.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

I'll second Spokey's comment regarding the vinegar. I tried some that a friend had prepared that way a few years ago, and I must say that they were quite tasty.

Get out a big pot , put the crabs in the boiling water they will turn a red color, boil them for quite a while. Then put them out of the water , pull the backs off the crabs, get rid of the gills grey looking material. Crack them and eat away....
