How lucky you are to have this site

Post by Goneshootin » Sat Aug 21, 2010 10:59 am

Planning a fishing trip tomarrow and realized how much I miss researching a lake with a few clicks of my mouse.Last year my wife and I both lost our jobs so we decided to take the leap and move to Montana, something we had been working on for a while. There is nothing even remotely comparable to Washingtonlakes here.I have yet to see a single topographical map.Half the time we arent even sure what species are in a lake.We assume it will be some kind of trout though. We are a 2 hour or less drive away from the Clark Fork,Big Hole,Beaverhead,Blackfoot,Ruby,Flint Creek and Rock Creek.I havent done real well in the rivers as I'm not a real good fly fisherman but I'm trying. The amount of float traffic here is amazing. We have several alpine lakes nearby in which we have had moderate to good success. We catch a lot of wild fish and a lot of Cutbows.I now feel like im fishing blind everywhere we go.I really took for granted the ease of researching on this site.Kind of a dont know what you had untill its gone type of thing.I hope you all appreciate what a fine resource you have here in Washingtonlakes.com.

wow, thanks for the kind words. Maybe we'll have to open a Mt branch. My son is going to college in Helena so maybe I would have to do more "research" visits, LOL.

Now, that is the kind of post that makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over.[biggrin] There is no doubt, this is the best fishing site on the entire web. It is that way because of all the support and contributions from it's members.

Could that be tax deductible? Expanding the business?

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
