Who cares about the scales and particulars!
LOL a fish big enough to swallow the front 1/3 of the the other just from the mouth is what I would call PIG any day[thumbsup]

And if that is after 6 hours, I'd say that will be a very nice fish (good meat) when you fillet it or steak it or whatever method. Really nice fish...[woot]

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Well, Gringo it is a good likeness of you.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Not sure what you mean Toni. Me and the fish? Same haircut maybe...
Or do you mean me and the avatar (me, circa early 80s)?

No, nothing sinister. It is a good picture of you. With the black background and the lighting on your face. Of course we know that the fish is the star of the picture.

LOL Toni, looks to me like someone wanting to be:-$ about where they were fishing (regarding Gringo with his nice Steelie). Can always put the fish on the ground and snap a pic I suppose but that may be an afterthought vs snapping the pic with a big smile and having some telling 'background' in the photo that needs to be literally blacked out in his case:cheers: . Not that gringo did that, just guessing.

BTW, I never get tired of seeing your avatar photo Toni! It's like wearing one of those sashes for Boy or Girl Scout merit badges LOL.
U earned your chinook salmon badge for sure! Takes up the whole sash. Actually looks like it is the sash. :clown: One of the better avatars I can recall seeing.

Nice fish, although as stated in the regulations pamphlet:

Pg 18, 2010 WDFW Regulations
Handling rules
Freshwater: It is unlawful to totally remove
salmon, steelhead, or Dolly Varden/bull trout
from the water if it is unlawful to retain those
fish, or if the angler subsequently releases the
salmon, steelhead, or Dolly Varden/bull trout

Please be mindful of the law.

I want to be a fisherman."

Agreed matt,
Very nice fish to.

Ive brought one native king out of the water (released) and
that was at the skoke. I was aware of the rules, but it is hard to
release a fish over a 6 foot wall. Maybe i should of just cut the line?

yeah ur right. u can't see the water hes only about a foot out of the water and only for a period of about 5 seconds so he was fine. guess I should be more mindful in the future though.

I need to start lifting weights more. I had the hardest time holding it out. Besides had to get that big fish slime on my fishing shirt.

I knew Gringo blacked out the scenery but it still is a good picture. Probably wouldn't notice how bright they are if it had scenery in it. I do believe it was a sunny day though.

OK, you caught me, I blacked out the Pike Place Market sign in the background...#-o
