Worth the 8 minutes! Man, that's a nice fish!

Pretty cool. Guess that answers the question I been asking myself, is it worth going ice fishing for tigers? I think it would be, but my fear is that they would swallow the hook, then I end up with a dead fish, sub-legal....

Ive seen this video before! Awesome fish! I still don't think it would be worth the time Doug, judging by everything I've read... And instead of dead bait I'd imagine you'd probably have better odds jigging something like a dardevle. Any other thoughts on this??

I can't answer specifically regarding Tigers, but Northern Pike is a different matter.
In Colorado, on the Eastern Front Range above Denver, we use to fish Pike through the ice a lot. Actually, we use to fish for trout and the pike would give us fits. My biggest one was a 36" on 6 lb line and I could not believe it.
Movement was the key, and tip it with some bait. I know that in parts of the country they use big chunks of dead bait, but all we used was jigs tipped with just a little bait.
Yes, they can swallow it. 25 years ago in Colorado we never even gave that a second thought, but .................

Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
