Old fishing hole in Kent

Post by jtrain9 » Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:15 am

This is the little pond next to the golf course, on the corner of Kent-Des Moines highway and Meeker in Kent. I was thinking about taking my 11 year old nephew there. Regulations say its open to from end of April to Oct 31. They stock it with 1800 fish every year. Anybody ever been there or know anything about it? Its open to anglers 14? And under.

I eat my lunch there from time to time. Nice little pond. I've seen kids fishing but don't know how good it is. Lots of shoreline and places to fish. I'd check it out, close by for urban anglers.

I have taken my nephews there a couple of times. Its good right after they plant it. I am not sure where you got the 1800 number though I think its more like 180 trout if that. Later in the year its good for tiny pumpkinseeds and tadpoles...
