Hey Mike and Mark,

Good to see some fellow Cheddar Heads!!! Go PAC GO!!! I grew up on the Chippewa Flowage in Hayward, Wisconsin, or what we like to refer to as God's hidden secret. I will tell you that the Good Ole "Chip" is certainly an amazing fishery with opportunity for many GIANT Musky, Pike, Walleye, Crappie, and the occasional Blue Gill and Sunny! As I always offer, if you are ever in the Hayward area and want to fish the Chip, look me up and I will take you out for a Trip on me!!! You bring the fun and stories and I will guarantee to put you on fish! and that is no Fish Story. Good luck the rest of this season, I am off to plan my next fishing trip here in the Great North West!

Nate, with a whole lot of luck, maybe Chapter 60 could bring home a Gil Hamm Title. If that happens, the Chip is likely where I will choose for the Gil Hamm to be held in 2012! Are you in if it is held there? Send your prayers I can pull it off! It's a pipe dream for sure but you have to have dreams, right? Would love to invite all of the MI members to Washington to fish the Hamm, but I don't know that we have a large enough body of water with facilities to handle such an event. Keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Doug,

You have my solemn word that I will be there for SURE with Buddy, Doug and the entire Gang!!! and not only that but I will talk with my buddy (The Owner of Daggets Resort) and see if maybe we can take a few slots on his resort on the West end of the Chip. Hey I might even give up a few of my honey holes to you if you make this happen. I would love to show you a few places that not even some locals that still live on the Chip today even know about. Trust me when I say this, I could easily get 10 or more people right now to commit to attending this tournament if you can pull it off. If you need my help let me know, I can start talking with Ty Sennett and a couple of the guys up that way to see if we could push this hard. I am thrilled to see that the Chip is known even on this end of the country, I honestly thought coming out West that no one would know the first thing about Hayward and the Chippewa Flowage, but WOW how wrong I was and I am sure glad I was! By the way I may be coming your guys way next week for some Walleye with my Family, PM me and let me know if you could make it out, I was thinking about Roosevelt or Pot Holes.

I am from Wisconsin too Nate, not sure if you knew..... But sounds like a deal. I win and we will all go to the Chip! I am camping this weekend, and next weekend I am getting ready to leave for the Gil Hamm tournament. Otherwise, I would take you up on the offer!

Yeah Doug, I remember you telling me about your Wisconsin roots back at the Pend Oreille. Well good luck at the Gill Hamm tourney! Wish I had the time and resources to go but that's life. Hopefully Sparky and I can make up for it on Merwin this coming weekend. Talk with you soon, tight lines!
