You should think about giving the Lake Quinault derby a whirl this year. It is June 9th. I am thinking of calling the Father's Day trump card, a little early maybe.

I fished the lake today and managed to bring 5 fish to the boat. I sure hope it stays like this for at least another week! Just to be clear, the derby is open to the general public and you can purchase your ticket(s) on-line, by mail or at the PSA of Lake Washington meeting this coming Thursday. I spoke with a board member and he mention that there were some excellent door prizes and also items that Cabelas donated for give aways to kids who enter. Note: Tickets are free to anglers 12 years old or younger!

The Lake Washington chapter of Puget Sound anglers is having its monthly meeting today the 14th of June. Tips and tactics for the derby will be discussed and you can purchase tickets in person for the derby at the meeting. Meetings are held at the Newport Way Public Library Conference Room 14250 SE Newport Way Bellevue, WA 98006. The meeting will start at 6:45pm, hope to see you there.
