Nicely done! Thanks for posting that up!Fish-or-man? wrote:Pips4bucks- report posted here: http://www.washingtonlakes.com/ReportCo ... lid=16&t=2. Thanks again all! Going again Sunday!
I put in a half-arsed attempt on Sunday when crab season opened here in MA7 south. The weather was crappy and the tide was rippin' so I didn't get to the spot I wanted to fish. I just drifted in the mooring area in front of Taylor docks in the 'Ham using Berkley minnows, to no avail. Not the ideal location, but a little sheltered due to the weather. I'll give it another go next time we set the pots.
There's another area in MA7 north I'm itching to fish. We were doing some night-time work in that area during the crab hatch, and saw flounder from 20"-24" coming up to feed on the crab larve and small bait fish under our lights.
BTW... the lil' buggers make tasty fish & chips!

caught and released a couple starry's and other flounders or sole near the mouth of chambers creek last week on butterfly jigs while trying for chinook. all had some little critters on their bellies.

Re: Summer Starry Flounder Advice
on the subject of......I have just spent the last 30 trying to decode the Regs on Flatfish in WA. I like to take the kids out and let them have fun on these great fish on trout rods. They always ask to keep a few for eating and I think that's great. BUT, if I am reading the regs for this year right. They can keep 2 bottom fish. And I "assume" flatfish type are that. We fish 8-1 and 8-2 for these. Can you give me some help before this summers fishing with the kids time?
Re: Summer Starry Flounder Advice
Last i checked limit for bottomfish in 8-2 was 15

I just checked the regs, 15 total bottomfish per person, per day is the limit.

I always thought so to. But I stared at that one over and over. I was thinking I need to get a lawyer to read it to me. I think they need to throw away the rules and re-write them all in a language that normal people understand. LOL. Can you tell me what page that was on? Thanks Jonb
