word of advice, when fishing coho in the upper skagit or cascade, if you plan to release fish using eggs, DO NOT let your float go under and let them take it for too long, i have been telling my clients to let the float stay under, count to 4 seconds then set the hook to make sure the coho have gotten their mouth around it, and every, single time, THIS happens, they are so hungry its the best egg bite on coho ive ever seen on the skagit in years, they are eating like trout in a hatchery!

Me and client landed 17 coho today at rockport, lots on eggs, some on some KND tackle sprocket spinners in chartreuse or red, theyve been deadly for me this year! Finally killed our 2 each and got out around 10am with 17 landed, killed 2 chrome 2 a bit darker for the mature eggs, biggest was a chrome 10 lb buck!

Thy Coho are still hammering eggs, with the continuing low water and bring sun, the bite lasts shorter every day, we had a TINY sprinkle tuesday and it helped A LOT, wed and thurs were REALLY hot from 6:30-8:30 then died, today was slower, bite only lasted until like 8:00am or so, but in this time we are hammering coho so hard! egg bite is unreal deadly! lots of chrome, heres some pics!
