NO, I am just pulling your leg.

Of course or I wouldn't have said that. For someone who has knowledge and time plus the money for materials they could have an new boat for cheaper than buying one.

Congrats Toni!!!! Looks like a nice rig. Based on the pic, the trailer appears to be in decent shape structurally. If it's a wiring issue, that's an easy fix. Been there and done that a few times. Appears that you have some experts helping you out. However, if you need anything You've got my phone #.

Red boat and blue trailer gone.

Work for this afternoon. Take out seats and look at downrigger placement.

Did someone intend on fixing ol' red? Or take it to the planter box in the sky? (a land fill)?

The motor, and trailer were kept, but drove off on the blue boat's trailer?

OK. I can see it in my head but I don't know that I can convey it in words but here it goes.
1st boat=73 Red boat, 73 ezload trailer, 73 evinrude.
2nd boat=73 Blue boat, 79 blue sportsman trailer, 88 Mariner.

Sold red boat (free) and 79 blue sportsman trailer. Yes, he was going to fix it up. He is retired and has time.

So I have left 73 blue and white Crestliner (15 foot) on a 73 Ez Load trailer with the 88 Mariner outboard. I also have the 73 Evinrude with the controls.

Trent changed the oil in the lower and they fired it up and put it in gear. Then they took it out on the lake. Said it hauls.

Yes, exchange the engine start video with the hauling a-double ess cookie video. Never seen a water motor muff fall off the lower unit. If that water muff is loose. The metal frame can easily be squeezed smaller, or pulled open for a better fit. Glad it happened, after the key was turned off.

You've got to be very happy with the small amount of stringer rot, and puffy, dry, wood transom shavings....NICE!!

Are you going with vinyl flooring, or a non slip painted surface?

Trent says he will take a video of it in the water when I am there. It needs the power trim fixed.

It's GREAT to see things are coming together with the new rig. I'm sure that 70 hp two stroke moves the boat across the water pretty good and I'm sure it will be even better once the power trim is fixed.

Power trim - once you have it, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it.

Damn you G-Man! I did not need to hear that. I kind of thought, because I did not have power trim and tilt. That I would probably really enjoy it, if I had it. Damn you!

Hard to find just the trim and tilt for a 75 Johnson 85hp, or is it? I haven't found any.

I didn't think that horsepower range came with power trim/tilt in 1975. Is it built in or are we talking about a separate braket like Panther makes?

Interesting question. For that model year, there were motors with factory installed PT&T. Not certain if it was for that horse power, but thought it was. Been a long time since researching.

Are you thinking larger HP motors, built in 75 had factory installed PT&T?

I'm betting that if you looked at the big motors, those over 100hp, that they would have it built in. Check with one of the on-line outboard parts dealers, like http://www.crowleymarine.com/parts.cfm, they usually have exploded views of all the models.
