Big morning on the river today, killed 2 brats, one bigger hen, released a darker 10+ buck, lost a big hen right at the rocks. Lots of fish in the fridge, time to load the smoker

cool shu maybe we can meet up I am probally going work my way down from the corner hole down past the salmon hatchery but might try the fields but doubt it unless that is the only place where fish are being caught. I will be the kid with a orange g loomis hat, black hip boots, 2 rods and either a oregon state beavers hoodie or camo jacket.

cutt fishing is great there especially when the steelhead are spawning toss a red corky out and they go nuts, hooked some big ones in there too like 20+ inches.gonnahookit wrote:Supposed to be a touch warmer sunday, might just head down there with the boy and see if I can't get him into some cutts (and maybe some steel for me! )

Re: Steelhead Reports and Pics 2012-2013
Didn't get a chance to post Friday when I fished but here it is. Number 25 a small buck that was super brite! Spot I have been starting at already had twice as many people then it can handle so down river I went. Started fishing just as it started to get light out and nailed this little buck right away, hardly light enough to see punch card to mark it. Fished for a while with no action and saw that the upper hole was clearing out. Started to head up there and down came Danny, He said not a singel bobber down for anyone in that hole since daylight. Headed up anyways and after some tough fishing Tim finally nailed a buck out of the hole, but that was the only fish from the raspberry hole all day(till 1:00 anyways) my fish came from down river. Fishing has slowed way down since the opener a couple days ago. Danny did end up coming up from down river with a couple between him and the guy with him. A few fish from the other side of the river too but not impressive considering. I expect next week to be back to how it was prior to closure, as there are no fish moving with the low water. Back to needing rain!!!

Re: Steelhead Reports and Pics 2012-2013
It's not rain we need, we just need a couple of days of weather in the 40's to blow out everything again. It's coming up on the end of the season, time to start moving south and west! After the sportsmens show you'll find me nailing big wild winter bucks in the wilderness. We're going to break 30 this year I know it.
