Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Using the same "early season set up" as last year? Thanks for sharing. Not even close to the same tug as the Steelhead were given you?fishenfreak wrote:Pulled a limit this morning as well, not as big as they were last year in my lake, dissapointing but still nice fish with a 11 inch avg

What lake are you fishing EddieL? I tried a copper colored FST while trout fishing this last weekend. Surprisingly, it would not swim enticingly at faster speeds. Seemed like, if I remember correctly. 2.0 mph was to fast. I could not fish it because of the wind was pushing us around at that speed and faster. Good to know the FST works for the Kokanee. Makes sense, slow trolling speed for Kokanee, and the FST!Eddie L wrote:Mainly fishing 20-35 feet deep off downrigger

So I pretty much got ruined for kokanee this weekend at Chelan , Average fish was 17" with big fish going 20.5" and smallest being a 12.5" I boated 15 fish and lost a few more. Insane fight from these big kokes and they really put on a show! im just gonna hang up the gear until i can go to chelan again

Re: Kokanee Pics and Reports 2013
Love this thread. I haven't fished much in Washington Lakes. I live in Hoquiam but only fished lakes when I lived in Colorado.
My husband and I would love to fish for Koks again but didn't know where or if they were any lakes with them here. Please let me know what lakes are good for fishing Kok's in Western Washington and when. thanks

That's a tall order!shiral wrote:Love this thread. I haven't fished much in Washington Lakes. I live in Hoquiam but only fished lakes when I lived in Colorado.

One thing you can do that many people don't realize is filter the fishing reports by species. So go to the "Latest Reports" tile at the top of this page, then set the state to "WA" and for Species select "Kokanee". You'll now have just kokanee fishing reports to browse on the reports section of this web site.
That will give you the more popular lakes that get regular report action. You can expand your search from there by going to that lake's "Information" page (there is a link on each report to "Read All Fishing Reports for Lake ____". When you go to this page, one more link, "View Descriptions, Photos, Maps, and Hotspots for _____". That will tell you all you need to know about the lake.
