Point No Point
Anyone been out here lately? Hows the fishing been?

Re: Point No Point
I was there last week then again just this morning. You can read my report but the short and skinny of it is "they aint in yet".
I caught a 17 inch silver when I was there last week but I was the only one that hooked up and this morning there were about a dozen people and two boats in and out throughout the morning and no one caught anything that I could see. Although I did have the misfortune of tangling a sea gull in my line that I had to slowly reel in and untangle with the help of two very kind gentlemen (thank you).

Re: Point No Point
I'm fishing it this weekend. Hopefully we'll get on some fish as I know MA-5/6 was "doing well" a week-ish ago. I'll let you know what I find.
Re: Point No Point
Fished the evening yesterday. Guy next to me caught a nice hatchery king on a small pink buzzbomb. I only caught a flounder. Lots of bait jumping around. And the boat out front of us was hooking shakers like crazy. No sign of pinks yet!

Not personally but I've been reading else where that the action is picking up. I'm fishing it Fri, Sat and Sun morning and will target the morning tide. Was thinking about fishing herring but I know that area has a large population of dog fish so artificials might be the way to go.

Naw, Its died down quite a bit. Idk why but not many fish coming in these last few days. And there should be silvers out at PNPBrat Bonker wrote:fishbait whats wrong with your hot spot, too many out of towners?

I hooked about a 7 lb silver off the south end last Sunday. And 2 legal kings, have hooked 8 kings over there this season. Will prob be on the Bar or @ Richmond Beach this weekend though.

Re: Point No Point
I think I'm gonna head up to PNP the first weekend in August and try my luck. Never done this before, so some pink buzzbombs and some pink hoochies to start off? What else works well? If you're there and you see a guy that looks like he has no idea what he's doing... that's probably me
I guess I'll just stand next to anybody else that's fishing. Most people start off on the north side of the beach, or go down around the corner to the east side?

Re: Point No Point
this is a little off topic but when does gorst start heating up, I haven't seen any nets out yet or fish jumping. also what will those fish bite other than the gorst special.
Re: Point No Point
Caught a 12 pound king out on a boat trolling a coho killer! Caught within 25min of fishing point no point after getting skunked out at mid channel and surrounding areas for 6 hours
Just keep fishing

sometimes they'll hit a white point Wilson dart or buzz bombs. People mainly force feed out there

Re: Point No Point
I've heard that term only one time. That was deep into Canadian territory, some 20 years ago. Think it was a guide that said that about catching Sockeye in the rivers! Could'nt believe what it meant.....guess it is legal up that way?FishBaitThe2nd wrote:sometimes they'll hit a white point Wilson dart or buzz bombs. People mainly force feed out there

Re: Point No Point
force feeding is basically flossing and snagging. I live like 5 minutes from all the places in dyes and sinclaire inlets yet never fish them, I really need to start fishing them more.
