I dont know much about those rivers, but the skagit is only like 20 mins north of the stilly, and is getting 1.2 million pinks this year, and bank fishing between the I-5 bridge that collapsed and the railroad bridge just upriver is a deadly spot! Buddy limited in a hour this morning and the run has barely started

The lower Snohomish can be difficult without a boat. Id drive down Lowell Snohomish River road, find a safe spot to park and walk into the river, there are several access points along there. There is also a park right near Lowell that you can access the river from.
The stilly is another beast all its own, There is a ton of access in Arlington but beware there are selective gear rules there so be careful fishing above Marine drive(so anywhere in Arlington).

All the more reason to jump on I-5 and drive a few more minutes and hit the skagit. Easy access, lots more fish! I can tell ya bout some good easy access spots with not many people, PM meChucksrage wrote:The lower Snohomish can be difficult without a boat. Tons of fish are coming to the Snohomish as well, Freak, almost a million. Lowell Rd has tons of good spots to pull over and fish, throw some buzz bombs. There will be a lot of fish moving through in a week or two, and they follow the tide up, so when they're moving, any spot is as good as the next one.
Once the upper section opens up, we'll see a lot of fish holding up by Doug Bar, and Tom Eddy, lots of access there and lots of fish by the time it opens.
Of course, if you want to get off the bank, give me a call, we'll be catching plenty. Don't listen to Danny, the Snoho will be every bit as exciting as the Skagit!

Everyone and I mean everyone caught fish today on Skagit. Everytime we would pass a boat it was fish on. Skagit is hot right now!

It sounds like the only river on the entire westcoast is the skagit. All other runs have been destroyed!

Let me jump in on that.... For all you lurkers, I've never been to the Skagit, but Yes... it is the place to be. I wouldn't recommend the Snohomish at all for any reason. Go North.

no the skagit is going to suck this year, better fishing on the snoho and stilly or better yet in Canada, something like 5 million pinks to the fraser, am I correct?

All of those will hit fish, don't forget your jigs get either. Twitched or floated.
Plunking sand shrimp with a spin glo is normally a great way to catch a bunch.
