Re: Stilly Fishing
Skunked again on the Stilly. I was there from 8:30 AM till Noon at the same spot I posted in my last post. The water was much higher, not very clear, running fairly fast, and it was raining. I lost 4 Dick Nite spoons, and 1 jig. To add insult to injury this Humpy kept tormenting me and would swim right up to my legs, just laughing and taunting me. I actually went down river away from this fish and when I came back he was still there lol....just not my day I guess. I will try again hopefully soon.
So what are people using for there setups on the Stilly?

Banked my first stilly silver of the year right before the rains hit and was using a 50/50 dick nite. Should be good fishing in a couple days to a week

Blown out now, looking forward to it dropping back into shape.
Re: Stilly Fishing
Bonked 2 nice silvers up above on Friday before she went. They were in decent, but not thick with a few willing biters, biggest about 9lb hen. Released prob 10 or 12 humpies. Looks like she should be back in starting about Saturday, FISH ON! They gunna be in thick after the first fall freshet!
Re: Stilly Fishing
Hey all you guys that hit it look for me. Camo Neoprene boot foots with a grey Redington wading jacket w/ pliers hanging in the front. Fishing corkies or a DN with a black Fenwick HMX and Shimano Curado, always down to say "what's up" to fellow board members.

Re: Stilly Fishing
How long does the run on the Stilly usually go? I had the luck of getting in the good graces of some folks who have private land I can access along the lower river (just west of I5). Wondering if I need to drop everything and run there if I want a shot at some of the Stilly Coho, or if there is still a good couple weeks left.....
Re: Stilly Fishing
Coho in general run through November. But right now for the next 2 weeks I would say will be the peak of the chromers.
