NWdude, that steelhead in the middle picture on the ground seems to be a winter run as well, a November buck summer run would be much darker, looks like ya got 2 winters there. Nice! Better than Ive done so far, awesome fish! keep em coming!

Thanks man! Ha I wasn't sure what to call it since I imagined a winter run to be a bar of chrome.

I want to see if i should look for a flare to indicate the Winter Steelhead run. any recommended dates? I'm looking to start this weekend if not too early.

thanks,
John

It's early, but no too early. The runs should just now be starting to trickle in. The next good rain should start bringing them up. The bulk of the fish probably won't start showing at the hatcheries until mid- to late December, but there will be a few in the systems already. Good luck.

Float & jig tipped w/prawn. New jig head color I mixed up over the summer. 1st time out with it. Think I'll call it a winner [thumbsup]

It was worth a shot. Haha.
Rurple sounds like a pretty solid color but I don't think that is it.

Slow still and very cold this week but picking up fish occasionally. Been trying skagit, cascade, sky, nothing is good yet but each has a few fish. Maybe this weeks rain...
