New Tradition - Chrome Friday

Post by mizm05 » Wed Nov 27, 2013 11:47 am

I am not a shopping guy (ok maybe I am when it comes to Sportco, Cabelas, etc)...and I'm not particularly fond of crowds...so it will be a cold day in you know where before I get swept up into the Black Friday craze.

But I will be starting a new tradition this year...Chrome Friday! I'll be out on one of my favorite rivers hunting for hawgs! While some guys are getting dragged around to the stores, or willingly participating...I'm hoping it will create more room for me at the river!

So, let's hear it. How many will be braving the pandemonium, and how many will be on the water? You know where I'll be for Chrome Friday!

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. I know some are looking at hard times, but every one of us has MUCH to be thankful for.

Good luck man! I'll be doing neither, tailgating and going to Apple Cup Friday. Almost as good as fishing but not quite....

GO HUSKIES!!

I will be out shopping for winter delights that will be wrapped in a clear vacuum sealed bag as smoke gently waifs thru the air while some cured honey colored berries will be placed gently in jars for our hungry metalhead friends.

Go Huskies! I'm working Friday, my tradition is to go out before Thanksgiving dinner for the first steelhead outing of the year.

Fishing over shopping any day.!
Then the Apple Cup. Gotta watch the Cougs hopefully kick some butt, #77 got a full ride, and use to go to my school.

I'm not a football guy, and not originally from Washington so I didn't even know the Apple Cup was tomorrow. But it looks like that plays in my favor. As you guys watch football, I'll be enjoying the extra elbow room on the water.

I was crazy enough to arrive at Cabela's at 4:45 and stand in line. It was a total mad house... Thousands of people and after getting into the store and finding my deals I stood in the checkout line for over an hour. Even with that I'm glad I did cause I saved over $100 and got some really nice fishing stuff!

Nice steel gringo. Did it have a messed up beak or is it just the way the pic was taken?

I'm sitting here in a cabin at three rivers resort in forks with the family waiting to float some local rivers. Conditions are less than ideal over here. LOW & GIN CLEAR........gonna try and pull something out tomorrow. Good luck to all and happy holidays.

Let us (or at least me) know how it goes, should be good fishing anyways, fish should be moving up anyways if not there will be some summer runs to tangle with
